Artist Statement

A new series,  Hot  Daze, these Flashe paintings, on hand built ply structures, continue my interest in the play between flatness and illusion. I have recently become more interested in the curved form and tangential lines. Illusory layers of coloured strips hum, a tangle of hi pitched colours in a confusion of lines.
