Artist Statement

I never tire of watching families of Red-backed Fairy Wrens and they are one of my favourite subjects to paint. I regularly see them on my walks through Kathleen MacArthur Park, the tiny birds, not much bigger than butterflies, foraging in the dry grasses along the edge of Currimundi Lake.
