Through guided tuition and practical exercises, participants will develop new drawing skills and techniques while building confidence in observing and capturing the figure. Suitable for beginners and experienced artists alike, this engaging course offers the opportunity to learn from one of the Sunshine Coast's accomplished artists in a supportive studio environment.

"Life drawing has been a core practice of artists for centuries as it has been for me for 30 odd years. It’s one of the best things you can do to develop as an artist, to work from life rather than an existing 2D image. As a figurative sculptor, I chase form and gesture - your understanding of anatomy develops as you work. It feeds back directly into your 2D artwork. The body’s forms are complicated and beautiful and always changing as we move. This series of sessions will use drawing the figure in charcoal as a way to develop drawing as a language, a shorthand – one that connects eye, hand, mind and heart."
